The Montreal Canadiens have caught lightning in a bottle through their first two series, trying to make their way to the Stanley Cup Finals. The magic may have vanished as they were beaten badly in game one by Philly by a 6-0 whitewashing. The Canadiens are a No. 8 seed, and as well as they have played to get here, it may have been more good fortune, than good talent. The Habs have reached the Eastern Finals, but believe it or not they have been outscored in the playoffs by a total of 7 goals, not conducive to similar results going forward. The Flyers were left for dead down 3-0 to Boston and have caught fire at the right time. They have won five straight, but that is only half the story. They have outscored their opponents by 21-8 in the five games, or by an average margin of 2.6 goals per game. The Flyers are raking in the cash at 20-7 in their last 27 at home as a favorite. The Canadiens are just 17-36 facing an opponent who allowed 2 goals or less in their last game. The Flyers stay hot and get this one.
