Montreal at New York

The New York Rangers will host the Montreal Canadiens in what could be a preview of top dog in the Eastern Conference come playoffs time. This is a high-octane matchup between a pair of teams on their way to elite seasons. The Rangers have allowed a single goal or less 15 times on the season, have not been as crisp on the defensive end of lately, allowing three of their last six opponents to score three or more, including four allowed in their first game after the break. Things have been far from perfect for Montreal on the defensive end, as the Canadiens have yielded four or more goals in three of their last seven games. This is a pair of competent offenses going against a pair of defenses that are not as sharp as they have been for most of the season. That opens the door for a more wide open game, so take the OVER.
