The Sabres are still looking for their first win at home on the season as this will be their fourth in front of the anxious hometown fans and I believe they will get it here. The Sabres hit what is likely rock bottom when they were shutout in their last contest by a 1-0 count to New Jersey on home ice. Going back to February of the 2008 season, the Sabres have been shutout eight times and they have risen to the occasion to outscore the opponent in the next game by a 31-9 count! They have been 7-1 after being shutout and the only loss was a shootout, outscoring the opponent 29-6 in the seven wins. Montreal is just 18-38 facing an opponent scoring two or less in their last game and are just 1-5 in the last six meetings in Buffalo. Buffalo gets home win number one tonight.
