Montreal at Buffalo

The Buffalo Sabres did a lot of shuffling, bringing in a new coach and a new general manager. Perhaps the most important move was signing center Jack Eichel to a long term deal. New Sabres coach, Phil Housely, has promised to bring an up-tempo offense to the arena, so I would expect that the Canadiens will be opening things up, so I see some value early with them to the OVER. He has a good core of young offensive players, that should embrace the philosophy. Montreal finished atop the Atlantic Division, but were bounced in the first round of the playoffs for a disappointing ending. The 11 goals in that playoff series sent a message that they needed to upgrade the offense, which they did by signing Jonathan Drouin. The biggest changes and emphasis for both teams in the off-season were on offense, so look for this one to exceed scoring expectations and play the OVER.
