The Vancouver Canucks were sailing a long last season, looking like a bonafide contender. Then the bottom fell out as they started losing and never recovered. They have not played very well for an extended period of time as they are below .500 in their last 17 games. Minnesota has regained their early season form after suffering through a 4-14 stretch covering 18 games. Thy have since played at a very high level, capturing the win in eight of their last nine, and recording three shutouts along the way. The Wild have allowed just 12 goals during the stretch at 1.25 per game. The Canucks have been biting the bullet in conference play where they are an ugly 2-8 in their last 10 games. The Wild have owned this series of late at 6-1 in the last seven meetings. Take Minnesota in this one.
