Minnesota at New Jersey

The New Jersey Devils came out of the gate as a focused team, and a team on a mission. They vowed not to repeat last season's brutal 0-7 start, and vindicated themselves by opening the season at 3-0. That unfortunately, has all changed, as this team has looked a lot like the team that opened the season at 0-7 last year. The Devils have since gone an ugly 3-9 in their last 12 games, and have dropped four straight. New Jersey has scored just 27 goals in their last 12 games at just over 2 per contest. Minnesota comes off of three straight losses, which followed three straight wins. The Wild have been very strong, however, when taking on a losing team where they own a 45-22 mark in their last 67 against one. The Devils have struggled against the Western Conference where they are a woeful 9-25 in their last 34. Minnesota takes this one.
