Minnesota at Edmonton

It has been a tough go for the Minnesota Wild in the early stages of the NHL season as they have taken the doughnut in four road games. The Edmonton Oilers take home ice with a respectable 3-2-1 mark on the season. There is room to believe that the Wild can get it done here as they have so many times in the past. The Wild has put together a 21-8 mark against the Oilers in the last 29 meetings and are also 6-1 after scoring two goals or less in their last game, in their next time on the ice. The Oilers, like a lot of teams, seem to lose focus when facing a poor opponent as they have dropped their last five against a team that is .400 or less, and have fallen to a 3-8 mark after one day of rest. This one might look good for the Oilers, but history shows otherwise and I'll go with a live dog here and back the Wild.
