It's been over seven seasons since the Minnesota Wild won in regulation in this building. They bring in a 6-8 road record, and face a stiff challenge from Detroit's defense here. The Red Wings have given up just 2.3 goals per game at home this season. Minnesota comes in off three very impressive games with back-to-back 2-goal wins over the Avalanche followed by a 3-1 victory over Vancouver on Monday. The problem is that level of play is not sustainable. In fact, the last eight times the Wild have won three straight games by 2+ goals each, they lost every time the next game out. Meanwhile, dating back to last season, Detroit is 11-1 at home after a 3+ goal win and 14-1 at home after a 2+ goal win. Under Mike Babcock, this team is an amazing 47-14 with 3+ days of rest/preparation. Take the Red Wings in this one.
