Minnesota won five straight to start the season but they have lost three of their last five. That 5-0 start is a bit misleading as they played very light competition in four of the five games. They were a -210 favorite vs. Chicago, -230 vs. Columbus, -190 against Edmonton and -160 vs. Phoenix. So, they darn well should have gone 4-0 in those games. Their schedule has remained soft. They have proceeded to lose two games they should have won (-155 vs. LA and -145 vs. Edmonton). Six of their seven wins have come as a favorite. Today they get a stiffer test vs. Colorado. The Avs are undefeated at home, winning by an average score of 5.0 - 2.5. Minnesota has shown that they can beat weak foes, but can they win vs. a team like this? We think not.
