Minnesota at Carolina

Carolina has won eight of 10 after defeating Detroit 4-2 on Friday and the Hurricanes outshot the Red Wings 30-12. Andrei Svechnikov scored on a power play to break a 2-all tie with 9:14 left and Antti Raanta only had to stop 11 of 13 shots and improved to 10-6-2 on the season. Raanta is likely in net tonight and Filip Gustavsson is expected to start for Minnesota and he is 11-11-2 with a 3.36 goals-against average and an .892 save percentage. The Wild have lost nine of their past 12 games and about the only good thing for them in that span was Marc-Andre Fleury moving into second place on the career wins list. Minnesota does come off a 6-4 win over Florida, but they are 1-6 after scoring at least five goals their previous game. Take the Hurricanes.
