The Vegas Golden Knights had a season for the ages, making the playoffs in their first season in existence. The Knights double-downed on their regular season success with a thrilling 1-0 win in Game 1 of their opening round series vs. LA. The excitement has extended to the oddsmakers who favor fairly strongly that the Knights will rise up again and take a 2-0 series lead. History may have some different thoughts. A team that wins Game 1 at home in the first round is just 116-124 in Game 2 at home at 48.3%. That is obviously a far cry from the posted odds here, so there certainly is value on the Kings who should also be the more focused team to get out of town with a split.
