Los Angeles at Toronto

The LA Kings are even-up on the season. They broke a five-game losing streak with a win in Columbus, but were destroyed in their last game vs. Detroit 8-2. There is encouraging news however, as prior to the 8 goals that the Red Wings laid on them they allowed just 16 goals in their previous eight games, so they are obviously in a lot of games, and just not catching the breaks. The Maple Leafs aren't exactly burning up the ice either at 2-6 in their last eight. A bigger concern is the 30 goals they have allowed in the eight games, or 3.75 per contest, which should open the door for the Kings to get something going on offense, while they have been very consistent on the defensive end of the ice. The Kings respond off a blowout loss of 3 goals or more with a 5-1 mark in their last six, while the maple Leafs are just 2-7 in their last nine at home. Play on Los Angeles in this one.
