The long and winding road finally took a bite out of the LA Kings, off a 4-2 loss at Chicago to end an eight-game win streak. Unfortunately they're on the road against the very next night. They ran out of gas, allowing three third-period goals in Chicago to the reigning Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks in a physical contest: The Kings outhit the Blackhawks 49-19. They face a talented St. Louis team that is #12 in goals scored, and fourth in goals allowed. The Blues are coming off their third straight win, a 3-2 overtime triumph over Minnesota on Saturday that improved them to 3-0-1 on their five-game homestand. Jake Allen was named the NHL's Second Star of the Week after going 3-0-0 with one shutout, a 0.98 goals-against average and a .963 save percentage. St. Louis is 6-0 against the Western Conference and 37-18 when playing on two days rest. And when these teams clash the home team is 6-1. Play the Blues.
