The Los Angeles Kings did not start their defense of last year's Stanley Cup the way they would have liked. The Blues won a tightly-contested game 2-1. St. Louis dominated on the defensive end a year ago, and have begun to take on the look of that same team late in the season. The Blues have allowed just 19 goals in their last 13 games. More amazing is the fact that they have allowed 1 goal or less in 11 of their last 14, and they have the look of last year's LA Kings. The Kings are not known for offense, averaging 2 goals per game over their last 10, and it will be difficult for them to score here. The Kings' opening loss has now left them with no answers on the road where they have now taken the donut, losing seven straight times. The Blues are riding a 10-2 run after a win, and have run the table in their last five quarterfinals games. Play on St. Louis.
