Los Angeles lost in the first round of the playoffs, but the Kings still garnered 102 points and finished second in the Pacific Division. Goaltender Jonathan Quick returns along with defensemen Drew Doughty, Jake Muzzin and Alec Martinez. Quick won a career-high 40 games last season. Anze Kopitar has hit 70-plus points in five of his last seven seasons. The Kings will be looking for some kind of revenge after being ousted by the Sharks in five games in the opening round. San Jose finished in third place in the Pacific Division with 98 points and it is 14-1 to win the Stanley Cup even though it went to the Finals last year. Martin Jones is in goal again and the Sharks return defenseman Brent Burns and also Joe Pavelski, Joe Thornton and Logan Couture. Los Angeles is a good value as a road underdog in this matchup, and the road team has won eight of the last 10 meetings. Take the underdog Kings.
