Los Angeles looked sharp defensively in the opener in a 2-0 win, but let's not forget that new coach John Stevens' top priority has been to squeeze more offense from his team. They added free-agent Michael Cammalleri to upgrade the attack and have a nice blend of new speed and youth alongside their veteran stars. Fast-skating 23-year-old forward Alex Iafallo skated on Los Angeles' top line with Kings captain Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown. San Jose scored three goals in the opener and did well on the power play. The defense, however, was awful in the Sharks' 5-3 setback to the Flyers. Goalie Martin Jones stumbled out of the blocks by yielding four goals on 30 shots. Coach Peter Deboer is 16-7 OVER the total at home off a home loss as the coach of San Jose, and this shapes up as a contest with more offense than oddsmakers expect. Look for this game to top the total and play the OVER.
