San Jose is #19 in goals scored and #18 in goals allowed and just lost at home to a bad New Jersey team 5-2. They are just 11-8-3 at home and have lost two in a row. The Sharks have also lost five of six home games. Making matters worse for the Sharks was the fact that they recently lost two key players to upper-body injuries. Defenseman Justin Braun left after blocking a shot in the second period and forward Tommy Wingels was hurt after being slashed in the third. McLellan said both will be out for "a while." The Sharks have been outscored 16-8 in the first period of their last 13 home games. The defending champion Los Angeles Kings are in town, and are 5-2 in their last seven when their opponent allows five goals or more in their previous game.
