Philadelphia is much improved over last season at this point (27 wins vs. 22 wins). They were hot entering the break but will the layoff have hurt them? It certainly will not help to pause that momentum. Los Angeles is a bad team, but not as bad as many think. They have 20 wins and their play has improved recently. They have won five of their last seven games including a win over the hot Anaheim Ducks. Philadelphia's defense is as bad as Los Angeles' so anything can happen here. The Flyers are just 19-39 the past two seasons vs. losing teams and 13-25 at home vs. poor defensive teams (those allowing 2.9+ goals per game). Over that span they are just 19-23 overall as a favorite. Tremendous value here on the Kings.
