The New York Rangers have come steaming out of the gate to start the NHL season at 5-1, while the LA Kings have done the same at 4-1 which includes a perfect 2-0 start on the road. So something has to give, but it likely won't be from behind the net. The Rangers goal-tending and hard checking defense has limited the opponents to two goals a game, with no one scoring more than three through six games. Playing at home they have fared even better allowing just four goals in their three home contests or just 1.3 a game. The Kings have rattled off four straight wins after an opening night loss and Jonathon Quick has been stellar behind the net as he has allowed just one goal in each of the last two, both on the road. The Kings, dating back to last year, have now played 11 of their last 12 under as a road dog, while the Rangers have been 25-8-2 to the under in their last 35 vs a team with a winning percentage of .600 or higher. I like this one to go UNDER the total.
