Los Angeles at Detroit

The Detroit Red Wings have won both of their "true" home games and look to make it three straight tonight. One way to put this one in perspective is that over the last 5+ seasons, the Red Wings have lost a total of 38 home games. The Kings lost an equal amount of road games just last year and last night combined! It kind of makes what appears to be a chalky line, not so chalky at all. It says one thing and that there is a greater distance between these teams’ abilities than the line is accounting for, so there is a lot of value on the Red Wings. This is also a bad spot for a bad road team as the Kings are now 15-37 when playing their third game in four nights, and also just 5-15 after scoring two goals or less. The Red Wings are on a long run of 234-115-9 playing on one day of rest. The final nail in the Kings’ coffin is the fact they have been 3-19-2 in their last 24 played at Detroit.
