The best team in the NHL recovered from a scare against Detroit, coming back from 3-1 down. So now they've won four straight after topping Los Angeles in the opener, 2-1. The defending champs were 10-1 on the road in the playoffs last year, but have been awful this season, 1-6 on the road with all those losses by 2-1 scores. Their only road win was 3-2 in overtime. In fact, the Kings are 7-19 in their last 26 road games. Los Angeles is averaging just two goals per game this postseason, so it's amazing that they've even gotten this far. Chicago has so much depth, power, and balance; second in the NHL in goals scored, tops in goals allowed. Patrick Sharp scored his NHL-leading eighth goal, and Marian Hossa tallied nearly four minutes later in the second period as the Blackhawks skated to a 2-1 triumph in game one on Saturday. After killing off both of Los Angeles' power plays, Chicago has yet to yield a goal in 23 short-handed situations at home in the playoffs. In total, the Blackhawks are 42-for-43 on the penalty kill. The Blackhawks are 38-15 in their last 53 home games, and 5-0 in their last five Conference Finals games. It's strange these teams played yesterday, which favors the deep home team, with the Blackhawks 47-20 in their last 67 games playing on no days rest. The Kings are 5-13 in the last 18 meetings, including 3-8 in the last 11 meetings in Chicago. Play the Chicago Blackhawks in game two.
