Los Angeles at Arizona

The now Arizona Coyotes have changed their name. But that did not help them in their opener, which sent them down to defeat at the hands of the Winnipeg Jets in an uncompetitive 6-2 defeat on home ice. The LA Kings did a little too much celebrating as they raised their Stanley Cup winning flag in their home opener, but were a no-show 4-0 loser to the San Jose Sharks. I think LA comes to play tonight on the road. Los Angeles lost three of the four meetings last season, so they come in here as a focused team off a loss, and knowing they came up short against this team last year should coax out their "A" game, which is ultimately much better than that of Arizona's. The Coyotes' offensive shortcomings had a way of following them into their next game last season as they finished the season at a lowly 1-9 in their last 10 after scoring 2 or fewer goals in their previous contest. LA takes this one.
