The oddsmakers simply haven't caught up to the Wadhington Capitals this year. Last year this team had the most explosive offense in the NHL as they scored 318 goals on their way to 121 points. This season through 80 games, that 313 goal offense has been reduced by 99 goals, while the defense, which allowed 233, has allowed just 194. The bottomline for the Caps is a 46-12-1 run to the UNDER in their last 59 games, with no adjustment by the oddsmakers. Bring in a Florida team that has been 39-19-1 to the UNDER in their last 59 road games and the matchup pits a pair of teams with a consensus UNDER marker of 85-31-2. I will ride the UNDER in this one.
