The Ottawa Senators are off to a tough start. The defense and net-minding have been the main contributors. The Senators have allowed more than 3 goals a game through their first nine, putting a lot of pressure on the offense. When you’re allowing, on average, over 3 goals per game while scoring 3 or less in seven of your nine games, the wins will be tough to come by. Florida started 0-2, but has rebounded nicely with points in three of their last five. They have done a good job scoring in the five games at 3 goals per game, and should find the net here with Ottawa struggling. The Senators’ bad play on the defensive end has kept them from any consistency as they are now 0-6 after a win. They have also been a poor choice on a single day of rest at 18-37 in their last 55. Florida wins tonight.
