Florida at New York

A bad Florida team (9-17-6) heads north, out on the road where they are 5-9-1. Florida has been outscored by -35 goals, easily the worst mark in the NHL. This offense is No. 26 in the league in scoring, No. 30 in goals allowed and penalty killing. This is the middle of a season-high five-game road trip for Florida, and the Panthers are 8-23 against the Eastern Conference and 1-11 in their last 12 in the third game of a 3-in-4 situation. The Islanders have made great strides this season despite struggling at home. The offense is No. 9 in the league in goals scored with the No. 6 best power play in the NHL. They are off a pair of home loss to powerhouses Montreal, and Pittsburgh, but will find the going so much easier here against a Florida team that they recently beat, 4-3, on the road.
