Florida at Buffalo

Last year the two worst teams in the NHL were arguably Florida and Buffalo, with Edmonton in the mix too. Florida has risen from a few bad seasons to be a playoff caliber team to this point of the season, coming to Buffalo with a 12-8-7 mark on the season as well as 6-4-5 on the road. The Sabres are somewhat better than last year, but until they resolve their issues offensively, they are going to be a team that suffers some extended losing streaks. The Sabres have scored 2 or fewer goals in 22 games already this season. They have also been shutout a total of six times, and are a hard team to trust. They have not stepped things up vs. a losing team either where they are a dismal 11-39 in their last 50 against them. The Panthers have held the upper hand in this series, winning the last five meetings, including the last four in Buffalo. The Panthers are still a step ahead, so play on Florida.
