Edmonton at Vancouver

The Vancouver Canucks have been a good team over the past several years, but for some reason this team imploded in the second half of the season last year, finishing at a woeful 13-29 and missing the playoffs. I believe that a fresh start and a lot of incentive to erase a dreadful finish would have this team out of the blocks fast this year, and they applied that in their opening night win. Edmonton started as they finished last season with an uncompetitive 5-2 loss in their opener. This team has a long way to go to be a contender, and the road has been a huge obstacle as the Oilers have a dismal 51-120 mark in their last 171 roadies. The Canucks look focused and if that is the case tonight, as I expect, they should cruise past a weak Edmonton team. The Oilers' last 14 trips to Vancouver have produced just three wins, and the margin between these teams remains great. Bank on Vancouver.
