Edmonton had to win Games 6 and 7 to advance to the conference final and Stuart Skinner came thorough for the Oilers when they needed him most as he stopped 29 of 32 shots in the final two games after being replaced by Calvin Pickard in Games 4 and 5. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had a goal and an assist and Edmonton scored three times in the second period and then held on to defeat Vancouver 3-2 on Monday night. Skinner has renewed confidence heading into this series and the Oilers are in somewhat of a revenge role as they lost 5-0 to the Stars in the last meeting on April 3 although Pickard was in net that night. Edmonton is 9-1 its past 10 games playing with two days rest and it leads the current playoff survivors with 3.83 goals per game in the postseason. While going UNDER in 43-37 during the regular season, Edmonton is 7-4 to the OVER in the playoffs, scoring 3.8 per contest. While 28-18 UNDER on the road this season, Dallas is 29-19 OVER at home. Dating back to last season, the Oilers are 78-55 OVER when facing teams that score over 2.8 goals per game. Over the past three seasons, Edmonton is a perfect 7-0 OVER in the first game of a playoff series. Finally the Stars are 35-22 OVER since last season after a road win and this season they are 6-0 OVER after an overtime win. Take the Oilers as a Max Play and also take the OVER.
