The Edmonton Oilers are rebuilding around 2015 first overall draft pick Connor McDavid. They are heading in the right direction and have had to play a difficult schedule -- until now. Calgary also has gotten off to a rough start, losing three of its first four contests while getting outscored 14-8. While Edmonton is rested, the Flames had to play last night. The Flames suffered a 3-1 loss at Winnipeg on Friday in which they allowed three unanswered goals, including two in the final 88 seconds of the third period. The Flames rank #22 in goals scored and #26 in goals allowed. Calgary center Jiri Hudler (two) is the only member of the team with more than one goal. Calgary is favored but on a 1-5 run and when these teams square off the road team is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings. Back the road dog Edmonton in this one.
