Detroit at St. Louis

The Detroit Red Wings have played at a high level for several years now. They lost their way early in the season when they went on an uncharacteristic six-game losing streak. What has happened otherwise has been nothing short of spectacular as they have gone 16-3, recording four shutouts along the way. The Blues were playing great at home, but have been slowed down significantly of late as two of their three home losses have come in their last three played here. They were beaten badly by Chicago 5-2 in their last one played here and following a 3-goal loss at home the Blues have been just 8-21 in their last 29. Detroit serves notice to good teams as they are 8-2 when facing a team with a home winning percentage greater than .600. They also own a 19-8-1 mark in St. Louis their last 28 trips here, so Detroit is the pick.
