Detroit at New York

This is an excellent situational spot for the dog. Detroit is well rested with two full days off. It's also just their second game in the last six days. They face a banged up New York Islanders squad dealing with a lot of injuries on the blue line. New York has dropped four of five and is getting outscored on the season because of a terrible defense, #31 in goals allowed, #30 in penalty killing. The Islanders had to play last night, coming back from a three-goal deficit in Buffalo, but allowed a tally with 4:14 left in the third period to lose 4-3. The Red Wings have won five of the last seven meetings, so back the well rested dog and play Detroit.
