Detroit at New Jersey

Detroit opened the season at home with a feel-good 3-0 win over Montreal. New Jersey was beaten soundly by Philadelphia 5-2. The venue changes for both teams as the Devils will be in their home opener, while Detroit takes to the road for the first time. It matters because a team off a shutout win in their previous game has a -4.5% ROI in their next game as they appear to ease up a bit. A bigger problem for Detroit is their inability to win on the road. Since the start of the 2016 season, the Red Wings are a woeful 71-154 on the road. That has led to a -14.5% ROI. I like New Jersey in this one.
