The Detroit Red Wings seem to be playoff bound every year, regardless of changes to the team as this franchise is always putting a good team on the ice. This year certainly has not been the exception as Detroit is 12-5-5 through 22. They have the offense going, having scored 4 goals or more in four of their last five games, on their way to 4-1. New Jersey avoided the 0-7 nightmare they endured to start last season by opening 3-0 this season, but nothing good has happened since. The Devils' offense produced 6 goals in their opener and 5 in their second game, and since have not scored more than four times, and that has occurred just once. They have scored 2 goals or fewer in 13 of their last 20 games, and 3 or less in 19 of 20. That has put them in immediate double jeopardy when facing a hot offense as they are 8-20 in their last 28 vs. a team that went for 5 goals or more in their previous game. Take Detroit.
