Detroit at New Jersey

These teams have split two meetings this season and New Jersey will try to snap a three-game losing streak after falling to Edmonton 6-3 on Thursday. Detroit is in worse shape, having lost seven of nine although they did manage to pull out a 7-6 shootout victory in a wild game last night after blowing a 5-1 lead. Now the Red Wings have to play on no rest and they have had serious goaltending problems recently and they are expected to start Michael Hutchinson, who has bounced around the NHL since 2013 and just signed by Detroit after playing 16 games for Columbus last season and finishing with a 4.29 goals-against average. Vitek Vanecek is 11-6-1 for the Devils and he is likely to start tonight. Take the Devils.
