Detroit at Nashville

Detroit has a long way to go before being a contender, but the Red Wings certainly are an improvement compared to last year's team and they are 19-14 on the puck line. The Red Wings have split their last six games and are getting decent play in goal while still struggling to score themselves. Nashville has scored only eight goals its last four games, including a 2-0 victory over Detroit on Tuesday. Thomas Greiss had 32 saves for the Red Wings, but again couldn't get any offensive support from his teammates. Still, Detroit has won 12 of the last 17 meetings overall and seven of nine at Nashville. The Predators are only 2-7 their past nine games playing with one day of rest.
