Detroit at Columbus

The Detroit Red Wings were set back by their trip to Sweden where they lost both games, but have played 7-3-3 since and have taken three of their last four. This is a team that has twice as many wins as losses on the road over the last two years, so anytime you can get them in a dog role is certainly inviting. They are already 1-0 in the role this season and back in February they were posted at -150, so definately getting line value here. The Blue Jackets opened the season winning five out of six but have been ordinary since and actually have a losing record in their last 10. Redwings are well rested and that is a good sign as they are 40-13 in their last 53 with three days rest. Redwings are also 40-14-1 in the last 55 meetings with Columbus, including 17-7-1 in the last 25 here. Redwings get the call.
