Detroit at Calgary

Detroit is on a three game road trip in Canada. Playing Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. They lost on Sunday to Vancouver where Bertuzzi exploded for three goals. Tonight the take on the red hot Flames in the Saddle Dome. The Flames are on a 7 game winning streak and have really come alive. However three of the last four games for the Flames have been one goal wins. The game against Minnesota on Monday night could of gone either way. The Flames were out played in the first and second period and were down 2 goals going into the third. They played well in the third and ultimately won 3-2. Convincing win? I don't think so. Saturday they played Colorado at home and got up quickly with a 4 goal first period. However Colorado came roaring back with 3 goals and should of tied the game. Colorado out played the Flames in the second and third period. A win, yes but letting a team come back and almost tie the game with a four goal lead in the first is not impressive. Detroit is the best team in the league and they will capitalize on the Flames shaky winning streak. Detroit is better in almost every facet of the game. GFA 3.79 for Detroit versus Calgary's 2.55. 72 total goals for Detroit this season versus 51 for Calgary. Detroit has a .915 save % versus Calgary's .903 save %. Trust me Detroit is a better team and you are getting GREAT value on your money here. If Calgary weren't hot Detroit would easily be -200. However because Calgary has won 7 in a row and is playing at home Detroit is on -115. Detroit will end Calgary's winning streak tonight and show why they are the best team in the Western Conference. Detroit for three stars over Calgary.
