The Detroit Red Wings appear eager to get themselves back to the Stanley Cup Finals and their early play shows them at 6-2-1 for the season. They have been offensive early, averaging better than three goals a contest and have dispatched this same Calgary team at home earlier by a 4-2 verdict. Calgary may have a hard time tonight dealing with the offensive pressure Detroit has displayed all season as the Flames have allowed 17 goals in their last three games. The Redwings have a tendency to stay hot offensively as they are 42-19 after scoring five plus in their last game. They have also thrived off of three days rest, having gone 44-16-1 in their last 61 in that situation while the Flames have dropped their last six in that same situation, off three days of rest. The Red Wings have taken five of the last seven at Calgary and I like Detroit in this one.
