Detroit at Calgary

Detroit is on fire having won six on a row. But, we think this is a spot where they might stub their toe. Calgary has won five of the last seven games played here at home vs. the Redwings. Detroit's great defense lets up a bit on the road. They are allowing around 2 per game at home but 2.6 on the road. Calgary has the offense to penetrate the Redwing defense. Teams coming off a home win vs. an opponent off 2+ straight road wins have won at a 67% clip over the past five seasons. And, home teams off a win vs. an opponent that has won 6+ straight games are 25-9 (74%) over the past five seasons. Over the past decade, the Flames are 23-12 vs. top-level teams (those at 75%+). They are also 11-2 at home vs. great defensive teams (those allowing under 2.5 goals per game) over the past three seasons. Finally, Calgary is 14-2 at home in November the past couple of seasons. A great matchup for Calgary - they will be up for it - and we like the odds we are getting for a Calgary 2+ goal win.
