We have a big battle in Beantown tonight with Detroit and Boston in a tight Atlantic Division race for the playoffs. One can secure a playoff spot with a victory and the other essentially needs to win for a shot to get there. Detroit is not a strong all-around team, #21 in goals scored, #17 in goals allowed. The Red Wings are in a difficult situational spot, off a game at home against the Flyers last night. Detroit did the Bruins a favor with Wednesday's 3-0 win over the Flyers, keeping Philadelphia tied with Boston with 91 points. The Red Wings are on a 5-11 run on the road, plus 1-9 playing on no rest. Boston is home and rested with a terrific offense, fifth in goals scored, seventh on the power play. The Bruins are 15-7 playing on one day of rest, so grab the rested home team in this huge showdown. Take Boston.
