Anaheim is a talented team in a bit of a slump, which happens over the course of a season. The Ducks are 1-for-21 over their past nine games on the power play. After a thrilling comeback win over Chicago they played Detroit the last game in this arena...and got blasted 5-1. But let's give Detroit some credit, too. The Red Wings are 5-1 in their last six games playing on one day of rest and 16-7 against the Pacific Division. They have good balance, No. 9 in the NHL in goals allowed, No. 14 in goals scored. Detroit turned several defensive mistakes into goals. Justin Abdelkader had his first career hat trick Friday in a 5-1 victory that ended the Ducks' 13-game home winning streak, and now has five goals in the past three games. Jimmy Howard allowed fewer than three goals for the eighth time in his past nine starts and had 33 saves. Detroit is 2-0 in its last two games as a dog, winning at +155 (at Anaheim) and +165 (at Vancouver). And when these teams face off the Red Wings are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings. Go with Detroit.
