Dallas at Washington

Dallas had a big win over New Jersey on the road on Tuesday with Scott Wedgewood stopping 35 shots and Roope Hintz scoring the tiebreaking goal at 19:57 of the second period for the Stars, who lead the Central Division. Jake Oettinger is expected back in net tonight and he is 10-4-3 with a 2.64 goals-against average, and Charlie Lindgren is likely starting for Washington as Darcy Kuemper is out indefinitely with an upper body injury. Dallas won the first meeting 2-0 on Oct. 27 and they are 4-1 their past five versus a team that scored at least five goals its previous game and the Capitals come off a 7-3 victory over Chicago and Alex Ovechkin scored his 800th goal.
