Dallas has vastly improved the defense since making coaching changes a season ago, currently ranked fourth in the NHL in goals allowed, Top 10 in penalty killing. The focus on defense has taken away from the offense, down to #19 in goals scored and on the power play. The Stars are 0-2 on this six-game trip and have scored only seven goals the last five contests, on a 5-1 run UNDER. They head to Toronto, a young squad ranked #12 in goals allowed, sixth in penalty killing. They are still without All-Star offensive force Auston Matthews (upper-body), missing the last six games. The Maple Leafs are 9-2 UNDER after allowing two goals or less in their previous game, plus 20-12 UNDER against starting goalies that have a save percentage of 91.5+. The Maple Leafs won the only other matchup, 4-1, back in January, part of a 5-1 run UNDER when they clash, as this one will be. Play the UNDER.
