Dallas at New York

The Dallas Stars were in Buffalo last night, and thought they had a strong chance to add one to the win column, but the Sabres ran off to a 3-1 start and finished them off 3-2. They have to quickly pick up the pieces of that loss and take the ice against the New York Rangers tonight at the Garden. The Stars have long suffered playing on consecutive nights as they are just 44-71 in their last 115 skaing with no rest. Those numbers are even worse when they have to skate on the road as a dog where they are 23-54. The Rangers suffered a similar ill fate last night in Nashville 3-2, but come home for this one where they have won three straight on home ice. The Stars have struggled vs. the better teams as they are 10-24 in their last 34 vs. a team over .600, and the Rangers have feasted against a team that scored two or less goals in their previous contest as they are 17-4 in their last 21 against them.
