Dallas at Nashville

The Dallas Stars were a playoff team a year ago for the first time since the 2007-08 season. Ironically, Dallas was able to reach the playoffs with a couple late season wins vs. the Predators. The Stars opened the season by stealing a point at home vs. a very good Chicago team. Nashville took their opener at home vs. Ottawa 3-2 but I think they will see a better team tonight that will offer a lot more resistance on both ends of the ice. Pekka Rinne faced the Dallas attack twice a year ago, and came away with a pair of losses. The Predators are 12-26 in their last 38 vs. the Central, and the Stars won the season series last year and have fared well with Rinne in the net. Go with Dallas.
