Dallas at Montreal

Dallas won its first three games before losing 3-2 in overtime on Thursday, but the good news is that Scott Wedgewood had 40 saves for the Stars in his season debut. That bodes well for a great one-two combination as Jake Oettinger is 3-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and .966 save percentage and he's likely back in net tonight. Montreal is off to a good start compared to last season's disaster as the Canadiens have won three of their first five games and Jake Allen is 2-1-0 with a 2.02 GAA. Allen gave up four goals in nearly 64 minutes against the Stars in 2021-22. Dallas is 8-1 its past nine games as a road favorite of -150 to -200 dating to last season and the Stars have allowed a total of only six goals in their four games this season.
