This is the second of a four-game road trip for Dallas and the offense is already losing some depth. Patrick Eaves' lower-body injury allowed for the recall of fellow forward Curtis McKenzie, who was promptly drilled into the boards by the Lightning the last game. McKenzie (lower body) was taken to the hospital in what the team called "excruciating pain" and placed on injured reserve. So Dallas recalled forward Radek Faksa from Texas of the American Hockey League on Friday. They face a Florida team that prefers a slower pace, ranked third in the NHL in goals scored and ninth in penalty killing. Florida has allowed just five goals in four games. Florida is 16-6-8 UNDER the total when playing on one day of rest as well as 46-22-11 UNDER against the Central Division. Florida forward Jonathan Huberdeau has yet to score a goal this season after signing a two-year contract last month. But veteran goaltender Roberto Luongo has yielded only four goals on 98 shots and owns a 14-7-3 career mark with two shutouts against Dallas. Florida comes off a 3-2 win over Buffalo and the UNDER is 29-14-10 after the Panthers allow two goals or less in their previous game. Look for more defense than oddsmakers expect and the UNDER is also 8-1-1 in the last 10 meetings in Florida. Play this one UNDER the total.
