Columbus at Washington

Washington dropped their first game in seven two days ago to the Islanders. With the motivation of avoiding back-to-back losses, I like the Caps to get it done today vs. a listless Blue Jackets team. Columbus started off the season with four wins in their first five games. But since then they have lost five of six games. Goaltender Steve Mason has really struggled, posting a 3.48 GAA in his ten starts. in his last five, that has balooned to 4.53. How is he going to stop Ovechkin and the Capitals offense that is averaging 3.7 goals per game? Yes, Columbus has been scoring too, but Washington is 34-17 since last season vs. high-scoring teams (those averaging 2.9+ goals per game). Washington gets the call here.
