Columbus at Washington

Columbus broke through and finally beat the Capitals 5-1 in February after losing the previous six meetings. That will be a big confidence-booster for the Blue Jackets, who have averaged 4.2 goals their last 10 games. Philipp Grubauer likely will be in goal for Washington and he is 15-10-3 and comes off a 4-3 loss to Nashville on Thursday. Sergei Bobrovsky has won eight of his last 10 starts for Columbus and he is 37-22-6 on the season with a 2.42 goals-against average and .921 save percentage with five shutouts. The Blue Jackets struggled for much of the season, but decided to put individual performances aside and the veterans came throug and at one point they won 10 in a row. Artemi Panarin leads the Jackets with 27 goals and 55 assists and he set a franchise record for most points in a single season. Cam Atkinson has 18 goals and 33 points his last 33 games. Columbus has won nine of its last 10 against Eastern Conference teams and 13 of their last 17 overall. Also, the Blue Jackets are 10-3 their last 13 games with at least three days rest.
