The Blue Jackets are a team in complete disarray right now. They came out on the right side of 12 of their first 20, but have since fallen apart. They have managed to come out on the right side of just three of their last 23 games. It is easy to find the reason why. The Jackets have not scored more than 2 goals for 10 straight games. The 10 game offensive total stands at just 13, or a paltry 1.3 per game. They have held up on the defensive end, as just twice has an opponent eclipsed the 3-goal mark. This will give them a chance to stay in this game and will also make way for 8 of 10 to stay UNDER the total. The Canucks aren’t built for big scoring, and each of their last five at home have failed to reach the total. Vancouver is just 12-17 vs. the puck line the past three seasons when facing a team at .400 or below. They are also 1-7 vs. the puckline this season after having won 4+ of their last five games. Also, this series’ signature has been decidedly UNDER, as the total is 8-3-3 to the UNDER in the last 14. This one should stay UNDER the total with Columbus able to hang close.
